An English teacher is needed for a monastery in SHIMLA (8 hours away from Dharamsala) to teach 2-3 classes a day to a group of 15-20 monks. Lodging is included, as well as meals in the mess. The teacher needs to be a native English speaker. Previous experience prefered, but not necessary. Absolute minimum commitment of one month is needed, but the volunteer should preferably commit to at least two months.

Wanted, in Kathmandu: volunteer English teacher(s) for newly arrived adult Tibetans, 2 classes a day, 5 days a week, each class about 1 and a half - 2 hours long. Native English speakers preferred and prior teaching experience essential as most of these new arrivals will speak no English at all.

A volunteer is needed in one of Tibetan settlement in Sikkim, North-eastern part of India. The position that is available is to teach English to unemployed Tibetan youths. Most of these youths have recently dropped out of school. The volunteer needs to understand this, and be willing and able to offer some personal assistance when needed. A minimum time commitment of three months is needed. The volunteer should have some previous experience of working with troubled youths or in similar environments. They are able to offer accomodation facility too.

We need a teacher for our English class of thirty participants for the next Translatior's Training Programme. Currently the students have the advanced level of english. Class sizes usually between 25-30 students, primarily adults. Native English speakers requested, teaching experience is must. Accomodation and stipend will be porvided as well as free access to Buddhism and Tibetan language classes and libraries The volunteer should have the minimum time comitment of three months i.e 1st June to 1st September 2007.
